PHOENIX - Jennifer Lopez goes on the attack against a Valley man, who said he was just trying to help her career.
The fight, which ended up at a UN commission, revolves around two websites, jenniferlopez.net and jenniferlopez.org.
A Valley man built the sites years ago and they were getting thousands of hits a day.
But this year, J-Lo decided they belonged to her.
"I'm just a fan trying to promote her and her career," said site creator JT.
JT created jenniferlopez.net and jenniferlopez.org 10 years ago.
The sites are one-stop-shops for everything J-Lo, but recently Lopez trade-marked her name and decided she wanted control of JT's websites.
"I've spent thousands of dollars over the years in developing the website out of my own pocket," he said.
So to cover those costs, JT offered to sell the sites to J-Lo for $85,000.
But her lawyers took JT to a United Nations commission on intellectual property rights.

Natalie Portman Old Enough To Have A Kid
Get ready to feel old: Natalie Portman is old enough to have a stepson. The adorable star of Garden State and Star Wars is, in the weird world of Hollywood casting, ready for marriage and kids with her role in Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, an independent drama based on the Ayelet Waldman novel.
Variety reports that Jennifer Lopez had originally agreed to star but dropped out suddenly, leaving the entire film's future in peril. Explained the movie's producer David Molner, "We were left in the lurch by one actress and rescued by another. It goes to show that, particularly with independent features, nothing is more important than the talent."
It's hard to imagine any movie in which Jennifer Lopez can easily be replaced by Natalie Portman, but maybe that means the movie will be more interesting for it. Even though the plot is about a woman saving her marriage by bonding with her stepson, it doesn't sound entirely generic, and Portman isn't known for signing on for the same-old same-old. Then again, she was in Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, but hey, we all make mistakes.

Jennifer Lopez's, Marc Anthony’s not so funny Valentine
Insiders tell the New York Daily News that Jennifer Lopez's and Marc Anthony’s tempestuous relationship will explode right after Valentine’s Day.
“Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14,” a friend of the couple tells the paper.
“Jennifer is planning to join Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell."
Who’s surprised? JLo (ta-da!) finally revealed her pregnancy at a sold-out Miami show during her "El Cantante" tour in November 2007.
The couple, married a bit more than four years, are the parents of 10-month-old twins Max and Emme.
Lopez, 39, drew attention to the marital- problem rumors when she arrived looking hotter than she has in years at “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” L.A. premiere, without her wedding or engagement rings.
And why do we have a feeling that she may end up a presenter at the upcoming Golden Globes awards?
Just call it a hunch.
And there will probably be an attention-getting Versace dress -- like her sheer green Versace gown worn to the 2000 Grammys when she was with P Diddy -- to get the fashion headlines.
Marc, 40, has been spotted sans his wedding band at N.Y.C. clubs such as Bungalow 8. He was also seen partying without that bit of jewelry with pal Eva Longoria Parker at Lavo in Las Vegas in early December.
